The first source is a proof that the number of movie theatre attendance has declined in the USA. Using detailed critics and number of the box office hit during the year 2011. The journalist gives fact and number that proves the decline without going into the why is this happening.
The second articles tries to understand why americans don't go to movie theatres anymore. He blames mostly, the digital era that made movies accessible from a simple click of the mouse. Saying that this new digital era made the experience of watching a film banal where it used to be an event.

This sources will help me to understand the different element of spectatorship. To see what changed between the appearance of movie, to movie seeing in this over digitalized age.
The author considered important to cross psychoanalysis and spectatorship which I find to be a really smart idea to finally understand how we perceived and see Film.
However I am wondering if she is not going to make false assumption and I am also wondering about the different research in which she will based her argumentation on. Also will she analize differently the perception people has ( and expectation) toward independent movie from Blockbuster?

Does this book will take in consideration the different era and the influence of sociologic change toward the way we see Film?
